Yes, the wife is out in Cancun and I’m not there with her. I’m stuck in good ol’ Jersey with this crappy weather. I’ll have to wait 1 month to hit ‘my’ vacation out to Vegas. I really do wish I was out somewhere warmer because Spring in Jersey has been very disappointing thus far.
Today is our niece Kasey’s 2nd Birthday. Man, she’s getting huge so quick.
I have lots of pictures and never knew where to store them and the JPG files are ginormous. I needed a place to store it so that I retained the original pictures and I was able to link to them to use on other pages and Fotki looked to be the best solution. It’s relatively cheap too at $15 a year. It will also provide me some sense of safety for my pictures since my NAS or hard drives can fail and I can lose all my pictures. The one thing I hate about it is that they say they give you FTP access, but it’s so stripped down…can’t create folders from FTP. This will make my initial uploading experience really crappy.  Also their Desktop app sucks. I tried to upload 10+ albums at 8GB and it failed after 16 pictures. This is going to take a lot of work, but at least once I get it done once, it should be all good.
